New Forest Murder Mystery at Minstead Lodge

Minstead Lodge is a historical manor house in the New Forest which was formally the home of Dr Duncan, Queen Victoria's physician when she stayed at Osborne House, her holiday home on the Isle of Wight. The old house has wood paneled rooms and it is the ideal location for a murder mystery.

Coming Events:

Sherlock Holmes & The Mystery of Graves End

Just £35 per person.

The Lodge is 5 minutes from the A337 near Junction 1 of the M27, and it is quite an atmospheric drive through ancient forest, so it will really set the scene. There may even be a little fog! There are no bedrooms to book at the Lodge but we can advise you on local hotels if required.

The meal is in buffet format, so you serve yourself rather than having waiter service. The food is excellent, with many of the vegetables grown on site in Minstead's extensive gardens. You can choose between pan friend chicken with tarragon forest mushrooms and red wine or a tasty vegetable Stroganoff with chunky fresh garden vegetables in a rich paprika sauce. Then there is warm sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce.

The cost of the meal and our plot delivered by a team of professional actors is £35 per person. We are sponsoring the event so most of the money raised will go to the Minstead Trust who run the building and give opportunities for development to people with learning difficulties.

This is an unusual event for a great cause. Minstead Lodge is not a hotel but the food is excellent. The building itself is old and atmospheric, as is the drive to it. We recommend this experience to the Murder Mystery enthusiast.
